About Alex Kess...

Alexander Kesselaar (aka Alex Kess) was born and raised in Bremen, Germany. His father, Rudi Carrell, was a famous comedian and television personality starring in numerous TV shows, movies and commercials. Alex was born at the height of Rudi's career, so you could say he literally grew up behind the camera. In fact, as soon as he was old enough he went to work in his father's studio learning every detail of the film, television and photography industry.  At the age of 23 he travelled to Sydney, Australia where he met and fell in love with Kylie. It didn’t take Alex long to discover the awesome natural beauty of Sydney's beaches, National Parks and waterways and was so inspired by them he decided to study photography and video production in Australia. So began his photography career.  Twenty years later, Alex owns a thriving multi-media company, Kess Media, with clients like Telstra, Accenture, Bacardi and Financial Review to name just a few. Alex is also a passionate LightPaint Photographer & Licensed Drone Pilot.
